To escape the planet you must also collect rocket fuel. When you save humans, they are teleported to your rocket ship. While on each planet you must save as many humans as you can, but be careful because the Brain Aliens will try to abduct the humans before you can save them. Your rocket ship will take you to each of the planets, starting with Earth. Your mission will take you to strange and fantastic alien worlds which are often treacherous and will require Otto to perform amazing feats. You must rescue as many humans as you can while defeating the Brain Aliens and all of their evil followers. You are Otto Matic, the robot who is given the job of saving Earth from the clutches of The Giant Brain from Planet X. Luckily for the human race there exist the Otto Matics, robots who police the galaxy in name of all that is good and decent.
These saucers are under the control of the evil Brain Aliens who are abducting helpless human beings and taking them away to strange alien worlds to become slaves of The Giant Brain. This twist on gameplay is a welcome distinction that should appeal to gamers looking for a little more depth.The year is 1957 and a fleet of flying saucers from Planet X have come to Earth. What keeps Otto Matic fresh is the variety of enemies and how the player must use different weapons and power-ups to most effectively deal with them. You'll explore the various locales looking for humans to rescue and enemies to fight or avoid. Gameplay in Otto Matic follows the tried and true formula found in most games of the genre.
The metallic quality of his body is well represented by the sounds it makes interacting with the environment around him. Sound effects are competently executed, particularly Otto's. Depending on how well you're playing, it could do both. It has a very retro feel that will either further engross you in the experience or will just begin to annoy you. The music in Otto Matic is in line with the theme of a campy sci-fi movie.

Gamers looking to push their graphics cards to their limits might be put off by the somewhat simplistic graphics, but the presentation is full of character and allows the game to run at a solid framerate on even modest hardware. The world is lush and colorful with a cheerful, Nintendo-like quality that doesn't take itself too seriously. In an era of games striving for realism in their graphics, Otto Matic comes as a welcome respite. The graphical style of Otto Matic is clearly reminiscent of previous Pangea titles, and that's not a bad thing. Because the aliens have taken the humans to far-ranging planets, you too must travel the galaxy to rescue them. An iPhone OS port, titled Otto Matic: Alien Invasion, was released by Pangea in 2009.
